Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers (C+E) for day and night shifts across designated routes in the UK. You will operate curtain sided trucks, conduct pre-trip checks and ensure safe, timely deliveries while adhering to hours regulations.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Day and Night drivers (C+E) Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an HGV Class 1 (C+E) Truck to deliver General Haulage efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving HGV Class 1 vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety.

Duties

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 curtain sided truck in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Straight load trunk of general Haulage to various sites, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members

PAYE Pay rates

• £17ph Days basic -Overtime £25.50ph - Holidays accrued
• £19.05ph Days basic - Overtime £28.57ph Holidays included
• £18ph Nights basic - Overtime £27ph - Holidays accrued
• £20.17ph Nights basic - Overtime £30ph - Holidays included
