Job summary

Prime Placers is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join a trusted transport operator with a Thame depot. The role covers Milton Keynes, Luton, Aylesbury and Oxford, with 24/7 operation and flexible patterns including full-time, part-time, block bookings and weekends.

AM or PM starts are available, and training opportunities are on offer. You'll drive scheduled deliveries and collections, perform daily vehicle checks, maintain records, and ensure compliance with driver hours and

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude.
• Willingness to work flexibly across AM/PM shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Carry out coupling and uncoupling of trailers safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our client, a well-established transport operator with a depot base in Thame, covering the surrounding areas including Milton Keynes, Luton, Aylesbury and Oxford. Our client operates 24/7, 365 days a year, giving drivers genuine flexibility to choose the work pattern that suits them — whether that's full-time, part-time, block bookings, or weekends only.

Both AM and PM starts are available, and training opportunities are on offer for the right candidates looking to develop further.
