People Solutions is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for trunking and store deliveries in Coatbridge. Earn £16.98 per hour with overtime at £22.59 per hour. Shifts Monday to Friday with start times between 02:00 and 08:00 and weekly pay. Training provided, on-site canteen, and ongoing work available.

Qualifications

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – TRUNKING / STORE DELIVERIES – Coatbridge

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coatbridge.

This role is ideal for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for consistent, long-term work.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, Trunk Driver, Trunking Driver, Store Delivery Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Tramper Driver.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Completing Class 1 trunking and store deliveries safely and efficiently
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly before transport
• Following planned routes and delivery schedules
• Adhering to UK road transport legislation and tachograph regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Assisting with loading and unloading where required

Essential Skills

• A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C+E vehicles
• A valid UK Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and transport legislation
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude

Desirable Experience

• Previous Class 1 trunking experience
• Previous store delivery experience
• Previous commercial HGV Class 1 driving experience

Training Provided

• Driver assessment required prior to starting
• One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
