Job summary

People Solutions is seeking an HGV Class 1 Night Driver for night shifts in Liverpool. The role offers £19.00 per hour, Monday to Friday, with guaranteed minimum shift pay, weekly pay, and ongoing work within an established logistics business.

Typical duties include trunking, curtain-sided operations, load securing and photographic delivery verification, all while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with drivers' hours regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No major endorsements (DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99).
• Good spoken and written English; strong customer service and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete trunking, drop and swap duties.
• Operate curtain-sided vehicles and secure loads.
• Take photographs to document deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Report customer concerns to management.

HGV Class 1 Night Driver - Liverpool - £19.00 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This is an excellent opportunity offering £19.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday night shifts, guaranteed minimum shift pay, weekly pay and ongoing work with an established logistics business.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or HGV Trunking Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Night shifts starting at 17:00
• Three runs to Leyland and return
• Approximately 11-hour shifts
• Ongoing work available

Rates of Pay

• £19.00 per hour
• Guaranteed minimum shift pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing trunking, drop and swap duties
• Operating curtain-sided vehicles
• Securing loads using straps where required
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues
• Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours and road transport regulations

Essential Skills

• Minimum of three months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience with trunking and drop and swap operations
