Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers in Bridgwater to join a team on a temp-to-perm basis. The role involves refrigerated multi-drop deliveries to retail stores, up to 15 drops per shift, with tail lifts and cages usage. Immediate starts are available after assessment and induction.

Shift patterns include mornings and afternoons on a rotating schedule. Pay rates vary by day or night, with enhanced rates on weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in tanker work preferred.
• In date DIGI card and CPC card.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on driving role delivering to retail stores.
• Prepping vehicles for delivery and refuelling where needed.
• Drive within WTD and EU regs; maintain safety and compliance.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled on time and provide good customer service.
• Support with brake shifts and breaks as per rota.

About the Role

• Refrigerated multi-drop deliveries to retail stores and shops

• 4:00Tuesday - Saturday

• 3:00Friday - Tuesday
• 11:30 - 12:00Thursday - Sunday
• 2:30 - 4:30Saturday - Wednesday

Pay Rates

Days

• Monday - Friday £17.30 (overtime after 47.5hrs £19.46)
• Saturday £19.46
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £25.95

Nights

• Monday - Friday £19.77 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.92)
• Saturday £21.92
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.41

30-minute break deducted per shift only!

What we are looking for:

• Experience in tanker work preferred.
• In date DIGI and CPC card.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised individual.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Motivated and open to learn new skills.
• Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work.

Your role:

• Hands on role.
• Site operates 24/7, 365 days a year. If your rota falls on bank hols, they must be worked (for e.g. Xmas day).
• Driving within the WTD and EU regs and rules.
• Prepping vehicles for delivery.
• Refuelling vehicles.
• The Driver must ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
