Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to operate in Bridgwater. Benefits include work with top-of-the-range vehicles and nationwide deliveries, with various start times available. You will perform vehicle checks, maintain records, and follow safety protocols.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 Licence, CPC & Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 6 months of Class 1 driving experience and no more than 6 points or disqualifications (DD/DR). Free on-site parking is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with ≤6 points and no DD/DR.
• Valid Class 1 Licence, CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Knowledge of driver hours and WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nationwide deliveries and collections for multiple customers.
• Carry out trunking, store deliveries, or RDC runs as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork per policy.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE rules, and health and safety regulations.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• Nationwide deliveries and collections for many customers
• Trunking, store deliveries, or RDC runs (depending on the role)
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid Class 1 Licence, CPC & Digital Tachograph Card and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
