Job summary

Bradford Council’s Keighley Local Studies Library is seeking a Local Studies & Archive Assistant to join the team. The role involves frontline customer service, handling enquiries by phone and email, and supporting researchers accessing local history resources.

You will assist with stock maintenance, indexing and cataloguing, and help run events to promote heritage and engage the public with the district’s history.

Qualifications

• Experience of library and/or archives collections.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
• Interest in history and heritage.

Responsibilities

• Provide a customer-focused enquiry and research service.
• Support visitors and answer enquiries by phone and email.
• Assist with stock maintenance, indexing and cataloguing.
