Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Facilities Manager to care for The Vyne’s historic buildings and facilities, ensuring safety, sustainability and visitor welcome. You’ll lead a small team of staff and volunteers, manage projects, budgets and resources, and play a key role in the new property strategy.

Based at The Vyne, you’ll report to the General Manager and work with contractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety and conservation standards while delivering exceptional visitor experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management for historic or special buildings.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing compliance, risk assessments and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of facilities management services across The Vyne or related property.
• Maintain historic buildings and essential infrastructure, manage projects and budgets.
• Line manage staff and volunteers; coordinate contractors and partners.
• Support day-to-day visitor operations and contribute to conservation objectives.
