Scope Of Position

Reporting to the Assistant Heart of House Manager and Supervisors, you will be responsible for maintaining back of house F&B areas, storerooms, and kitchens to the highest standards, assisting with waste disposal and recycling, cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and crockery. The role involves the use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Operation:
• Cleaning storage and maintaining crockery, glassware, and cutlery.
• Safely operating cleaning machines, dishwashers, and polishers, following safety protocols.
• Supporting all Raffles and Mauro Colagreco areas as needed.
• Organizing storerooms, recording breakages and wastage.
• Coordinating waste disposal and recycling to Raffles green standards with all departments.
• Organizing deliveries and distributing them appropriately.
• Performing additional duties in absence of line manager or senior staff, including working in different departments or restaurants as required.

Health and Safety

• Ensuring COSHH standards and procedures are followed when handling chemicals.
• Reporting and rectifying hazards immediately.
• Familiarity with departmental Fire, Emergency, and Bomb procedures.
• Maintaining safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and pre-planning for hazards.
• Promoting health and safety awareness within the department.

Qualifications

Essential

• Proven ability to deliver high service levels under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong time management skills, capable of multitasking and maintaining a professional appearance.
• Willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when needed.

Desirable

Experience in a luxury hotel environment, working with LQA, Forbes 5* or similar standards.
