NHS Scotland is seeking a Health Care Support Worker for a permanent role in Perth & Kinross. The successful candidate will assist in delivering patient care within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality service in a unique healthcare setting. Flexibility in working hours is required.

Working as part of the Primary Care Nursing Team under the direction of the Nurse in Charge, the Healthcare Support Worker will play a significant role in delivering care to patients. Responsibilities include supporting clinical staff in routine clinics and care within the Health Centre and Residential Prison Halls, including Medication Administration, Health Screening, Clinical Treatments, Long Term Conditions Reviews, and Medical Emergencies, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team and the Scottish Prison Service.
You should demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, and have experience working within a caring environment. A commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective patient-centered care to a complex patient group within this unique setting is essential.
The post will cover both sites, with shifts over a 7-day period, which may change to meet service needs.
You must achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
