Active Care Group is seeking Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants for our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Kent. You will work on a rota, on site, supporting adults with brain injury or neurological conditions and helping with day-to-day activities.

The role involves building trusting relationships, aiding rehabilitation, supporting mealtimes, and reporting progress to the clinical team.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in providing person-centre care.
• Experience in care or mental health is advantageous but not required.
• Enhanced DBS is required for successful candidates.

Responsibilities

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition. Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

What you'll be working:

Location: Hothfield

Hours: 37.63 - FTE

On site role - Working on a rota basis

Salary: £26,861.71(FTE) per annum, pro rata

What you'll be doing:

• Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way
• Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
• Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
• Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team
• Accurately report and/or record work activities
• Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our young people
• Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
