Job summary

Active Care Group in Kent is seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant to join the Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre. The role is on-site, full-time, on a rota, supporting adults with brain injury or neurological conditions.

You will build relationships with patients, support rehabilitation programmes, assist with meals and daily living, and report to the clinical team. A DBS check is required; benefits include training, pension, and health plans.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in providing the best person centred care possible for our young people
• Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS

• Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
• Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
• Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team
• Accurately report and/or record work activities
• Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.

Job description

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition. Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

What you’ll be working:

Location:Hothfield Hours:37.63 - FTE On site role - Working on a rota basis Salary: £26,861.71(FTE) per annum, pro rata

What you’ll be doing:
