Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre. Our specialist centre in Kent looks after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition. Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

What you'll be working:

• Location: Hothfield
• Hours: 37.63 - FTE
• On site role - Working on a rota basis
• Salary: £26,861.71 (FTE) per annum, pro rata

What you'll be doing:

• Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way
• Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
• Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
• Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team
• Accurately report and/or record work activities
• Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in providing the best person centred care possible for our young people
• Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
