Spire Manchester Hospital is seeking a professional, customer-focused Receptionist to join a friendly, experienced team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be the first point of contact for patients, consultants and visitors, delivering a warm welcome while providing an efficient administrative service.

The role involves handling admissions, switchboard duties and accurate booking entries, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and exceptional customer service.

Formación

• Previous experience in a reception, administration or customer-facing role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A confident and professional telephone manner.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and visitors in a warm, caring and professional manner.
• Admitting and discharging patients in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Operating the hospital switchboard and responding to calls and enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Entering inpatient and day-case bookings onto the hospital’s computer systems.
• Maintaining admission lists and liaising with nursing colleagues regarding patient admissions.
• Processing patient charges and collecting payment information securely.
• Completing general administrative duties, including visitor badges and taxis.
• Ensuring reception areas remain clean, presentable and organized.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient, consultant and colleague information.
