Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a trainer to deliver gold-standard moving and handling education to staff across our sites. You will combine practical demonstrations with theory to reduce musculoskeletal risk and promote a culture of safety within the Trust.

The role requires current knowledge of manual handling legislation, healthcare training delivery experience, and the ability to work autonomously and with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive and current knowledge of manual handling risk management.
• Experience delivering training in healthcare settings.
• Teaching qualification or equivalent teaching experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver gold-standard moving and handling training in line with legislation and policy.
• Provide practical and theoretical education to reduce musculoskeletal injuries.
• Support health and safety culture and wider education initiatives.
• Engage in regular professional development with the team.
• Develop and deliver mandatory and bespoke training sessions and needs analysis.
• Offer high-quality advice on manual handling and ergonomic challenges.
