Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Manual Handling Advisor to support the Senior Manual Handling Advisor and Learning & Development teams. The role focuses on providing expert guidance, developing and delivering training, and ensuring best practice across clinical and non-clinical staff.

You will use the Trust Risk Management Database to analyze incidents, develop risk reduction plans, and contribute to Health and Safety committees.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety and manual handling training.
• Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate manual handling training programs.
• Strong collaboration with Health and Safety team and Learning & Development.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Manual Handling Advisor and service lead across the full range of manual handling functions.
• Develop and ensure training reflects best practice and industry standards.
• Analyse incident data using the Risk Management Database to identify trends and practical solutions.
• Produce policies, procedures, and communications to assist compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
• Attend Health and Safety committees and provide reports/minutes as requested.
