Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions invites applications for a Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Apprentice at North Tees Hospital. The post is a four-year apprenticeship combining electrical and mechanical training with college study.

You will study the Healthcare Engineering Specialist Technician standard, attend college, complete portfolios, and gain hands-on experience across Estates and Building Services with supervised rotations and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE maths grade B/5 or higher and four other GCSEs including a science subject.
• NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent.
• Enrolment in Level 3 Apprenticeship (HEST) Healthcare Engineering Specialist Technician.

Responsibilities

• Support planned maintenance and inspections of electrical and mechanical plant.
• Learn to diagnose faults and assist with installation and testing.
• Maintain training records and portfolios.
• Attend college one day a week during the first two years.
