Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is inviting applicants to join the Electrical Maintenance Apprentice programme at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This four-year apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with college study, starting with 40 hours per week and a salary of £12.71 per hour.

You will learn to support 24-hour maintenance, assist with PPMs and remedials on hospital equipment, and gain hands-on experience across high and low voltage systems, under the guidance of experienced professionals in a

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science.
• Good communication and enjoy teamwork.
• Flexible, proactive and eager to learn new skills.
• Ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Estates Management with a 24-hour maintenance service.
• Assist in completion of PPMs and remedials on electrical and mechanical hospital equipment.
• Learn to maintain and repair electrical systems from emergency lighting to motors and transformers.
• Work alongside experienced professionals on planned maintenance and on-site repairs.
• Attend college one day per week with four days on-site.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient hospital environment through hands-on learning.
