Job description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a HSEQ Manager. The role will be responsible for monitoring Health, Safety and Environmental performance, reporting on trend analysis, incidents, investigation findings, lessons learned, and highlighting any deficiencies within the Safety Management System. The manager will also provide suitable solutions and best practices for implementation.

Location: Rainham

Hours: 40 hours per week (Sunday to Friday, 10pm - 6am)

Responsibilities – But Not Limited To

• Writing clear, concise reports, procedures, and guidance documents.
• Owning and updating procedures and guidance documents to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance.
• Collaborating on the development of processes and procedures.
• Applying technical knowledge to observe, inspect, and audit operational activities.
• Conducting audits and inspections to ensure effective implementation of HSEQ systems.
• Leading investigations into incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Staying updated on legislation, developments, and best practices relevant to HSEQ.
• Providing detailed training on HSEQ topics to staff.
• Assessing and developing HSEQ competencies within the operational team.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Minimum of 5 years in a HSEQ management role.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, Environmental or Training qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of Utilities and HSEQ in contracting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
