Job summary

Insignis is seeking a home-based Health & Safety Consultant to work on a permanent basis, travelling to client sites to deliver health, safety and fire guidance. The role targets schools and education establishments, with the candidate ideally from an education background but other sectors are welcome.

You will undertake inspections, advise on health & safety matters, and prepare risk assessments including fire risk and premises risk assessments, with a strong emphasis on client-facing

Qualifications

• Exceptional people skills and presentation/written work are essential.
• Minimum certification: Cert IOSH or CMIOSH.
• NVQ Level 4 or higher in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Full driving licence and own vehicle.
• Experience in a schools/education environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to provide Health, Safety and Fire advice.
• Carry out Fire Risk assessments and lone-working responsibilities.
• Undertake inspections and provide guidance on health & safety matters.
• Produce plans and risk assessments including fire and premises risk assessments.

Job description

A client of mine is looking for a home-based Health & Safety Consultants, to work for them on a Permanent basis due to business growth. Your role will involve travelling to a portfolio of clients offering Health, Safety and Fire advice to various Schools and Commercial Premises. The selected candidate must my competent at carrying out Fire Risk assessments and lone working. We are looking for the candidate to be based in Manchester.

You will be providing health & safety services to a range of clients, although primarily schools/education establishments however all industry sectors will be considered and welcomed. This will include undertaking inspections, providing advice and guidance on health & safety matters, producing plans and risk assessments including fire risk and premises risk assessments.

The successful candidate will be a minimum of Cert Iosh, and have experience working within schools or education environment. This is a client facing role so exceptional people skills and the highest standard of presentation and written work essential. Experience in a consulting role is desirable as is experience/ knowledge of health & safety in a school/learning environment.

It would be ideal for someone to come from an education background however, other backgrounds are very much considered. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to work for a growing business who invest in their staff.

On top of the salaries there will also be a £4000 car allowance and paid mileage
