Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering an Administration Assistant / Health and Safety Lead role in the Maxillofacial Laboratory in Fulwood, Preston. Band 3, with a salary around £25,760 to £27,476 per year, pro rata, and a commitment to high standards of patient care.

You will handle administrative tasks, health and safety guidance, and laboratory support, working closely with the Maxillofacial Prosthetists and staff to ensure efficient service delivery and safety

Qualifications

• Experience of working with the public is preferred.
• Accurate numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Knowledge of health and safety and quality management systems.
• Experience in health care or dental settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on health and safety matters and support to laboratory staff via QMS.
• Provide administrative and laboratory support to the Maxillofacial Laboratory team.
• Answer calls, book appointments, process post and deliveries, procure materials.
• Process referrals and input data into IT systems.
• Ensure safe disposal of chemical waste in line with Trust policies.
• Cast plaster models and manufacture basic splints under supervision.
