This full-time, permanent role involves ensuring compliance with safety legislation and promoting a safe working environment. Safety, Health, Fire & Environmental Officer - £38,000 to £40,000 - Mildenhall, Suffolk

A leading manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is looking for a Safety, Health, Fire & Environmental Officer to strengthen its HSE function. This is a key role ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining high safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the business. You'll work closely with managers, employees, and contractors to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.

Pay & Hours

£38,000 - £45,000 DOE

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours)

Full-time, permanent

Duties of a SHFE Officer
  • Advise on HSE matters across the business
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and maintain records/KPIs
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks
  • Review risk assessments and contractor documentation
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections
Requirements of a SHFE Officer
