Now is an exciting time to join a leading manufacturer of scientific equipment as their HSE Manager at their new facility in Bristol.
You will lead and continuously improve health and safety strategies and programs for their Bristol site.
As Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a culture of safety and well–being across all aspects of the business. You will be a key player in driving behavioural safety culture, ensuring all stakeholders, internal and external, are committed to safety and well–being.
You will contribute to strategic planning to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, while effectively and efficiently managing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems.
You will be responsible for integrating occupational safety and health practices into everything we do in a practical, understandable, and measurable way.
Working closely with all supervisors and managers, you will gain a better understanding of the needs of each team, allowing you to enhance working conditions through safety practices that improve and enhance working conditions.
Qualifications:
Essential qualification for the HSE Manager is the NEBOSH Diploma Certificate or equivalent as a minimum (or working towards) and membership of IOSH.
Ideally, though not essential, you should also hold a relevant degree, such as environmental health or occupational safety and health and a postgraduate diploma or a Master's.
Experience:
It is essential for you to have experience working in Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment. In addition, you should have experience with ISO Management systems, Auditing health, safety and environmental performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near misses.
You should also have experience implementing and monitoring UK legislation, and continuously improving Health, Safety and Wellbeing in an organisation.
We are looking for clear evidence of being a hands–on Health and Safety leader, visible throughout the business.
Additional Information:
Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK / Europe and hold a full driving licence. Copies of Passports / Visas will be requested for verification
