£46,000 - £58,000 + bonus + benefits

We have partnered with a globally renowned manufacturing organisation who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager. This opportunity will give you the chance to shape and influence the company's Health and Safety culture across two large sites in Merthyr Tydfil, with the support of a wider safety team who will report to you.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

- Develop and implement the Health and Safety strategy across the sites
- You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be
- You will drive cultural change, bringing HSE to the forefront
- Coaching, managing and developing various senior stakeholders will be essential
- Ensure standards are met and continually improved upon
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Development of safety team

The Health and Safety Manager will have:

- Must have experience of working within high-risk manufacturing or engineering environments
- NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ equivalent
- CMIOSH would be desirable
- Knowledge of LOLER and COSHH
- Knowledge of management systems of ISO 14001, 45001
- Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
- Personality, influencing skills and engagement are crucial
