Health and Safety Advisor (Day and Night Shifts)

Sizewell C | Circa £60,000 + Car Allowance

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's largest civil engineering contractors to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This role will be joining the existing health and safety team on Sizewell C, one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious health and safety professional who is looking to develop their career further with a leader in the industry.

The role will rotate shifts across a 24-hour period, with a pattern of 7 days on and 4 days off.

Responsibilities
  • Implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures on site
  • Working with the team during the planning phases to ensure health and safety is embedded throughout the projects
  • Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries
  • Undertaking audits and inspections of the site and conducting incident investigations and training where required
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role ideally from within civil engineering, construction or a related industry
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
  • Drive and enthusiasm with the willingness to learn, develop and grow in the role
  • Good communication skills with the ability to tailor a message and communicate succinctly with a range of stakeholders
