Job Description

Great opportunity to join our team as a Health & Benefits - Group Risk Consultant working hybrid within the risk and healthcare consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for advising our clients on all aspects of managing the health of their workforce, as well as advising on and implementing risk and other health-related insurances, which are key aspects of this service.

The team handles all aspects of group insurance, including market broking exercises, ongoing administration, and consulting on client arrangements—covering renewals, funding, underwriting, and benefits. Our coverage includes private medical insurance, healthcare policies (dental, optical, health screens, travel, PA, perks), group life assurance, pensions, income protection, critical illness, and more.

The Role
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on designing, delivering, and managing their benefit programs.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and apply this knowledge to your work.
  • Manage provider relationships using negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Service, consult, and retain existing clients with high-quality service.
  • Plan and organize renewals.
  • Design and redesign benefits.
  • Liaise with providers and insurers for information.
  • Assist with re-broking, analysis, and verification of contracts.
  • Address client queries and maintain quality control procedures.
Qualifications
  • Risk benefits experience is essential; healthcare benefits experience is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge and practical experience in Employee Benefits.
  • Knowledge of group risk and healthcare policies, supported by GR1 and/or IF7 qualifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Quick learner with good organizational skills.
  • An understanding of broader employee health issues, international coverage, wellbeing, and technology platforms is a plus.
