Job summary

Soho House & Co. is seeking a Head Waiter to oversee on-floor service and lead the restaurant team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for members and guests.

You will coordinate with the Restaurant Manager and Front of House to maintain the club’s high standards and guide staff toward professional service from greeting to payment. Your role focuses on ensuring an enjoyable member experience, presenting recommendations, managing seatings, and supporting the team to elevate guest

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanour
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating any allergies or dietary needs.
• Deliver a seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
• Maintain exceptional table service—top up water, wine, and beverages proactively throughout the member’s stay.
• Ensure a pristine environment, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility to create memorable, personalized experiences.
• Support seamless payment through card, the Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Lead and supervise the daily service on the restaurant floor, ensuring seamless and elevated guest experiences.
• Support and motivate the waitstaff team, offering training, coaching, and consistent feedback.
