Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

In the role of Head Therapist, your key focus will be to:

• supervise the Spa Therapists, Spa Concierges and Spa attendants with support from the Health Club and Spa Manager
• be responsible for all aspects of training of the Spa Therapists
• ensure the Spa Concierge have good product and treatment knowledge and are able to retail and book a variety of treatments
• be fully aware of the treatment menu and product knowledge, working closely with our product houses and our own Chuan brand
• carry out treatments on a daily basis
• inspect and ensure all treatment rooms and spa areas are set up according to standards at all times
• maintain clear lines of communication within the Spa and the hotel in general

ABOUT YOU

• experience in a similar position and environment with a firm understanding of excellence in customer service
• Spa/Beauty qualification at NVQ Level 2 &3 or equivalent (a professional background in beauty therapy and a Spa/Beauty qualification in CIDESCO/CIBTAC/ITEC is desirable)
• certification and experience in Swedish, Deep tissue, Pregnancy Massage, as well as Facials and Electric Facials, is essential. Qualifications in Reiki, Reflexology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupressure, Lymphatic Drainage- desirable
• passion for training, developing and inspiring others is a key
• ideally knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and the 5 elements
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• great presentation
• warm and caring attitude towards the health and well-being of guests
• drive to work towards targets in treatment and retail
• ability to work well in a team
• good time management and organisation skills
