We are seeking an experienced and innovative clinician with a proven track record in quality improvement and staff management to join our forward-thinking department as the Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
St Barts Therapies department aims to contribute to the hospital's mission to be a centre of excellence in cardiac, respiratory, and cancer care. We are passionate about service delivery innovation and fostering a healthy workplace culture where staff feel valued. Our department includes a diverse team of OT’s, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Speech and Language Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Support Workers.
Main duties of the job
This role involves clinical leadership and management, promoting and driving initiatives within the Speech and Language Therapy profession. The post holder will support and manage SaLTs within the Barts Heart and Cancer Centres, build collaborative relationships across the MDT and external agencies, and provide expert advice on complex clinical issues in Oncology, Palliative care, critical care, and Cardiorespiratory specialties.
The role will assist the head and deputy head of Therapies in setting strategic direction and achieving key objectives, co-created with the workforce and stakeholders, including service users.
