About The Farmers Club

The Farmers Club is a modern Private Members Club for those involved in farming, food production, and agriculture. Overlooking the River Thames, the Club features 56 beautifully appointed bedrooms, conference and banqueting space, a bar, terrace, and a restaurant serving simply cooked, seasonal, quality British food.

We are now looking for an experienced Head Receptionist to join our reception team at the Farmers Club.

About the Role

As Head Receptionist, you will oversee the daily operations of the reception area, ensuring exceptional guest service and leading the reception team. Your responsibilities include managing bookings, handling guest inquiries, maintaining compliance with club policies, performing Duty Management duties, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

You will also:

• Deputise for the Reception and Reservations Manager during their absence.
• Work closely with the Reception and Reservations Manager to review upcoming arrivals, meet member requirements, and anticipate special needs.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure a high standard of the member journey from booking to departure.
• Perform all front-of-house duties, including greeting members and guests, checking in/out, and providing assistance to ensure excellent service.
• Interact professionally and friendly with members, guests, and team members.
• Build rapport with members and resolve complaints/issues promptly to maintain high-quality customer service.
• Ensure reception complies with the Club's Health and Safety policies and procedures.

About You

If you are an experienced Reception Supervisor or Shift Leader with a passion for excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will also:

• Have previous experience working in a 4* or 5* hotel or club reception in a similar role.
• Possess excellent knowledge of Opera Cloud.
• Be a team player and adaptable.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be flexible to work 5 out of 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Have the right to live and work in the UK.
