Job summary

Stantec is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer (Water) in the UK to lead major water projects from need through detailed design. You will work with leading water clients across the UK and mentor project teams within a collaborative environment.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, Chartered status preferred, and experience in the water sector. You will contribute to scoping, design, and delivery within set timeframes and budgets, supporting sustainable water solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• Chartered membership of a relevant engineering institution is desirable.
• Previous water industry experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of Process and MEICA disciplines helpful.
• Environmental issues including net carbon awareness are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape major UK water projects from concept to detailed design.
• Support and manage project team members within the Water division.
• Undertake scoping and design within required timescales and budgets.
• Prepare and check technical reports and deliverables.

Education

Civil Engineering degree or equivalent

Chartered engineer (preferred)

Water industry experience (preferred)

Knowledge of Process and MEICA

Environmental/net carbon awareness
