Job summary

West London Waste Authority is seeking a Head of HRRC & Waste Contracts to lead the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre and Waste Transfer Station. You will oversee safe, efficient operations, manage contracts and budgets, and drive opportunities to improve reuse and recycling performance.

The role involves 36 hours per week, site-based 3-4 days, with occasional weekends due to 7-day operations. London weighting is included in the salary.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience in waste/recycling or environmental services.
• Strong health, safety, environmental and quality standards knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, budgets and contractor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HRRC and WTS operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Manage waste contracts to meet service standards and budgets.
• Maintain compliance with permits, legislation and site procedures.
• Drive improvements to increase reuse and recycling performance.
• Build relationships with contractors, partners and stakeholders.
• Develop and mentor site management, supervisors and operatives.
