Job summary

Spring Brook Academy is seeking a Head of Site to provide strategic, relational leadership of the Lower Site from day one, ensuring safeguarding and high standards in teaching and learning.

The role requires senior leadership experience in SEND/SEMH, robust safeguarding judgement, and the ability to drive whole-site improvement with effective line management and collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• Strong and credible senior leadership with measurable impact.
• Secure understanding of SEND and SEMH education.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and professional judgement.
• Track record of improving teaching, learning and outcomes.
• Ability to lead and challenge teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and relational leadership of the Lower Site from day one.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and maintain safeguarding culture.
• Ensure consistency in teaching, learning and curriculum to pupils’ stages.
• Lead and manage staff, including line management and performance reviews.
• Maintain high expectations for attendance, engagement and relationships.
• Implement improvement priorities and keep the Executive Headteacher informed.
• Collaborate with families and partner professionals on individual pupils.
• Contribute to planning for 2027/28 and provide a thorough handover.
