Unknown M&E Contractor in London seeks an experienced Head of Quality to lead the Quality function across multiple projects. You will develop and maintain a robust QMS and drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

The role requires extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, QA/QC, auditing, root cause analysis and a proactive approach to embedding quality in delivery teams and external partnerships.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Quality to join an established and highly successful M&E Contractor based in London. This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the Quality across the business, developing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement across multiple construction and MEP projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background within M&E combined with extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, auditing, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with project delivery teams, senior management, clients, principal contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality function across multiple projects and business areas


• Manage, maintain and continually improve the company Quality Management System (QMS)


• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company quality procedures


• Develop and implement quality strategies, processes and improvement initiatives


• Lead internal and external quality audits


• Support project teams with practical QA/QC guidance throughout project delivery


• Reduce defects, rework and associated costs across projects


• Develop standardised quality procedures, inspection processes and best practice


• Build strong relationships with clients, principal contractors, subcontractors and external audit bodies


• Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement throughout the organisation
