Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services Ltd in West London is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a leading M&E contractor delivering a major infrastructure project. You will oversee QA processes across installation works, inspect against drawings, and manage ITPs and quality records.

Strong experience in QA/QC within construction or M&E is essential, with a focus on NCRs close-out and liaison with site teams to uphold high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Experience producing and managing ITPs and inspection records
• Knowledge of M&E installation and construction processes
• Experience managing NCRs and quality close-out

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain QA processes across M&E installations

• Maintain quality records and documentation

• Raise and close NCRs

An experienced Quality Assurance Engineer is required to join a leading M&E contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in West London.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain quality assurance processes across M&E installation works
• Carry out inspections and ensure works comply with approved drawings and specifications
• Produce and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Complete and maintain quality records and inspection documentation
• Monitor installation quality and identify non-conformances
• Raise, manage and close out NCRs where required
• Coordinate inspections with Construction Managers, Engineers and subcontractors
• Review installation documentation and technical information
• Support snagging, testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Ensure quality documentation is completed accurately and maintained throughout the project
• Assist with internal and client quality audits
• Work closely with the wider project team to drive high standards of installation and workmanship

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a QA/QC or Quality Engineer position within construction, M&E or building services
• Strong understanding of construction quality assurance processes
• Experience producing and managing ITPs and inspection records
• Good knowledge of M&E installation and construction processes
• Experience managing NCRs and quality close-out
• Confident reviewing drawings and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Major infrastructure, rail, tunnelling or similarly complex project experience would be advantageous
