Job summary

Unknown M&E contractor in London seeks an experienced Quality Director to lead quality across the business and drive a robust QMS. You will champion continuous improvement across multiple construction and MEP projects while embedding quality from concept to completion.

Your extensive ISO 9001 knowledge and background in QA/QC, auditing and root cause analysis will guide strategy, governance and performance against client and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong M&E background with extensive ISO 9001 knowledge
• Experience in QA, QC, auditing and continuous improvement
• Ability to lead QA across multiple projects and liaise with clients and subcontractors

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Director to join an established and highly successful M&E Contractor based in London. This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the Quality across the business, developing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement across multiple construction and MEP projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background within M&E combined with extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, auditing, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with project delivery teams, senior management, clients, principal contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality function across multiple projects and business areas
• Manage, maintain and continually improve the company Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company quality procedures
• Develop and implement quality strategies, processes and improvement initiatives
• Lead internal and external quality audits
• Support project teams with practical QA/QC guidance throughout project delivery
• Reduce defects, rework and associated costs across projects
• Develop standardised quality procedures, inspection processes and best practice
• Build strong relationships with clients, principal contractors, subcontractors and external audit bodies
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement throughout the organisation
