Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust seeks a QA Manager to lead the QA/testing function across clinical and corporate applications, ensuring tests meet standards before live deployment. You will manage the QA team, drive QA governance, and coordinate with clinical and digital stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

You will champion automated and non-functional testing, develop data quality strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices within the DDaT domain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing QA/testing teams delivering large-scale programmes in complex digital environments.
• Influence senior clinical, operational, and digital stakeholders and secure commitment to change.
• Experience leading continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and team capability.
• NHS-relevant leadership or management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Define testing methodologies and tools (automated, manual, regression, performance, and security) to meet project requirements.
• Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and performance management within the QA team.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and coordinate with senior leadership to manage potential impacts.
• Lead and coordinate QA for Oracle Health EPR and clinical and corporate applications; manage testing team and KPIs.
• Develop and monitor Data Quality indicators and Data Quality Programme to improve data quality.
• Coordinate test planning, environments, data, resources, and execution across multiple workstreams; drive defect management and reporting.
