Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College are seeking an experienced Estates professional to lead the asset management and capital programme across our diverse campus. You will oversee refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality.

The role involves developing long-term asset management plans, driving improvements, and enhancing the experience for students and staff through effective space utilisation.

Qualifications

  • Experienced estates professional with track record of delivering change and improving estate performance through asset management and project delivery.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with operational delivery and competing priorities using data analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with collaborative relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timescales.
  • Develop and implement asset management and estate improvement plans for long-term sustainability and performance.
  • Drive estate development initiatives to enhance student and staff experience through space utilisation.
  • Provide specialist advice on estate projects, asset management, compliance, and health and safety matters.
  • Lead, develop, and support a high-performing Estates team in a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver sustainable estate solutions.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the asset management and capital programme for Hartpury's diverse portfolio of educational and specialist estate. Key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Oversee the delivery of a portfolio of refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects, ensuring successful outcomes in terms of quality, budget, and timescales
  • Develop and implement asset management and estate improvement plans that support the long-term sustainability, resilience, and performance of the campus
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the student and staff experience through well-planned estate development and space utilisation
  • Provide specialist advice on estate projects, asset management, compliance, and property related health and safety matters
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and sustainable estate solutions
  • Lead, develop, and support a team, creating a positive, inclusive, and high performing working environment
  • You will be an experienced estates professional, able to demonstrate:
  • a strong track record of delivering change and enhancing estate performance through both asset management and project delivery.
  • Innovation and the ability to balance strategic planning with operational delivery and competing priorities, using data analysis.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build d effective ancollaborative relationships
  • Commercial and financial acumen and a commitment to delivering excellent service and creating positive outcomes for students, staff, and visitors
