Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking an experienced estates leader to drive asset management and the capital programme across its diverse campus estate in Gloucestershire. You will oversee refurbishment, maintenance and project delivery, align plans with sustainability goals and lead a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects, ensuring quality, cost controls and timelines.
  • Develop asset management and estate improvement plans that support long-term sustainability and campus performance.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance student and staff experience through estate development and space utilisation.
  • Provide specialist advice on estate projects, asset management, compliance, and health and safety matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver sustainable estate solutions.
  • Lead, develop and support a team, creating a positive, inclusive, high-performing environment.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the asset management and capital programme for Hartpury’s diverse portfolio of educational and specialist estate. Key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Oversee the delivery of a portfolio of refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects, ensuring successful outcomes in terms of quality, budget, and timescales
  • Develop and implement asset management and estate improvement plans that support the long-term sustainability, resilience, and performance of the campus
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the student and staff experience through well-planned estate development and space utilisation
  • Provide specialist advice on estate projects, asset management, compliance, and property related health and safety matters
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and sustainable estate solutions
  • Lead, develop, and support a team, creating a positive, inclusive, and high performing working environment
About You

You will be an experienced estates professional, able to demonstrate:

  • a strong track record of delivering change and enhancing estate performance through both asset management and project delivery.
  • Innovation and the ability to balance strategic planning with operational delivery and competing priorities, using data analysis.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build d effective ancollaborative relationships
  • Commercial and financial acumen and a commitment to delivering excellent service and creating positive outcomes for students, staff, and visitors
  • An interest in developing sustainable, efficient, and future ready estate environments
