Job summary

Paul Boardman Associates is seeking a senior leader to deliver Examinations Provision across the UK from Manchester. This role leads end-to-end delivery, with responsibility for scheduling, logistics and examiner management, while driving national expansion of the exams model.

Previous experience in delivering Exams or Qualifications is essential. You will combine commercial awareness with hands-on leadership to scale the operation and improve student outcomes across a growing nationwide

Job description

A rapidly growing national education group is seeking an exceptional leader to deliver the Examinations Provision across the UK.

This is not a traditional operations role. We're looking for someone who has successfully scaled organisations and is comfortable in driving business expansion alongside delivering an exceptional service to students—someone who combines commercial awareness with the energy to roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

Our client exists to create meaningful change for neurodivergent young people. Central to this mission is the exemplary delivery of qualifications; ensuring that every candidate has the opportunity to perform to the best of their ability in a purpose designed, supportive environment.

As part of the Group's strategic growth plans, they have established a dedicated examination provision with facilities tailored to the needs of neurodivergent candidates. The first exam centre is located in Manchester's Northern Quarter, with a second in Stoke as part of a national expansion programme.

The Head of Exams is a senior operational leadership position with responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of examinations across the Group. The post-holder will oversee all aspects of the function, from scheduling and logistics to candidate experience and examiner management, ensuring all activity meets Group standards. The role also carries responsibility for drivingthe expansion of the Exams model nationally, requiring a willingness to travel across the Group's national footprint.
