Job Title: Head of Operations and People

Location: Woburn Walk, Bloomsbury, London WC1H

Reports to: Managing Director

Working Hours: Full time, 9:30 – 6pm

Job Purpose

Join Halfpenny London, a leading British luxury bridal wear brand, as the Head of Operations and People. This full-time role involves providing strategic guidance to ensure the company meets its creative and financial objectives.

Candidate Profile

We seek a highly motivated, strategic, and creative individual who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with excellent attention to detail and innovative thinking. A team player with a vision for system enhancements to improve customer experience and business processes.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Founder to develop cost-effective operations and market strategies.
  2. Business Execution: Implement strategies to achieve company goals.
  3. Policy & Compliance: Maintain company policies and legal standards.
  4. Partnership Building: Expand relationships with external brands.
  5. Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance with the Accounts team, ensuring budget adherence.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the senior team for optimal performance.
  7. Culture Development: Foster a positive work environment and company culture.
  8. HR Collaboration: Oversee performance reviews, training, and development with external HR support.
  9. Problem-Solving: Address challenges proactively to support growth.
  10. Strategic Advice: Provide insights to management.
  11. Business Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business plans.
The Candidate
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in fashion or luxury sectors.
  • Proven success in brand building.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on with a strategic and tactical approach.
  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation and marketing.
  • Motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Inspiring team leadership skills.
  • Creative, innovative, and idea-driven.
  • Strong time management and financial acumen, including P&L understanding.
