As our Northwest operations grow, we're excited to welcome a talented Head of Operations to lead our regional delivery team.

As Head of Operations at Energetics, you’ll take full ownership of our on- and off-site utility delivery across gas, water, and electric.You’ll lead a team of Engineers and Supervisors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget—while maintaining the highest standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll oversee productivity, drive efficiencies, and support continuous improvement through clear communication and strategy.This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the future of our operations in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Your responsibilities as a Head of Operations:

• Lead a large, multi-disciplined operational team across 200+ live projects, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery aligned with programme, budget, and customer expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders and support teams to drive performance, manage resource levels, and implement continuous improvement across operations.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are consistently met by overseeing H&S inductions, toolbox talks, operative qualifications, plant/tooling needs, and subcontractor vetting.
• Champion best practices and performance management, monitoring operational output, resolving issues swiftly, and supporting quality first-time installations to network standards.
• Oversee resource and fleet management, supporting skills development, succession planning, and the deployment of competent field teams with the right equipment and support.
• Drive operational excellence through regular reporting, strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and strong relationships with external partners including Streetworks and local authorities.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Have experience in a senior management role, leading complex and diverse teams and processes.
• Proven operational experience within an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) or similar organisation.
• Have demonstrable experience of delivering process change and continuous improvement.
