Head of New Business Development - Cyber

Role Purpose:

Here at LRQA Cyber we're looking for someone to come and lead our new business development sales team in the UK. We have ambitious growth plans and winning new logos is critical to our success.

The purpose of this role is to lead a team of new business sales consultants to grow LRQA Cyber's client base by winning new logos across our full portfolio - offensive, defensive, advisory and technology services. Success will be measured not only on client signature, but on whether what was sold can be delivered profitably and account expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for new business generation and pipeline, sales execution and bid leadership, portfolio breadth and cross-pillar selling, team leadership and enablement, market intelligence and proposition input, commercial governance and the hand over to client delivery and client development. You'll also be leading by example as you'll have your own quota target to achieve.

Working across the Cyber portfolio is key - you'll work in close partnership with Head of Bid Management, the delivery leads who will provide the technical sales and design authority support on which complex bids depend and the client delivery team.

What You'll Bring:

  • Demonstrate a track record of winning net-new business in cyber security, technology or professional services environments.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles including formal tender and framework processes.
  • Possess s ufficient cyber security literacy to hold a credible first conversation with a CISO or security leader and to qualify opportunities without technical support present.
  • Have strong commercial acumen across scoping, pricing, margin and contract negotiation.
  • Experience in selling a portfolio of services rather than a single product.
  • Have disciplined use of CRM and accurate forecasting.
  • Experienced within an assurance, certification, testing or professional services environment and have an established network among security buyers in target sectors.
  • Experience in selling recurring and subscription-based services such as PTaaS, managed vulnerability scanning or managed detection and familiarity with public sector and regulated procurement routes would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of the regulatory drivers shaping cyber spend, including NIS2, DORA, the EU Cyber Resilience Act and UK/EU GDPR is also advantageous.
