Job summary

LRQA in Birmingham seeks a results-driven Business Development Manager (Cyber) to win new logo business and expand our cyber security services across mid-sized and large organisations. You will own the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to contract award, building senior stakeholder relationships and shaping multi-service proposals.

This growth-critical role requires a consultative selling style, strong cyber know-how, and the ability to deliver value propositions that drive margins.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in winning new logo business and cyber security services.
  • Ability to present technical and commercial solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing bids, tenders, and proposals with pricing strategy awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new logo clients for cyber security services.
  • Develop and execute proactive business development strategies to penetrate the market.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through qualification, bid submission, negotiation and contract award.
  • Build senior-level relationships with key stakeholders within target organisations.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic bids and tenders, shaping technical scope, commercial strategy and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and delivery teams to ensure proposals are competitive, deliverable and margin-aligned.
  • Maintain a robust new business pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accurately and contribute to sales reporting.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences and client workshops.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the UKI Regional Lead, you will be responsible for winning new business through complex, consultative sales cycles with mid-sized and large organisations. The role focuses on developing high‑value opportunities, engaging senior client stakeholders and converting multi‑service solutions that build long‑term client relationships.

This is a growth-critical role focused on market entry, opportunity creation, and converting complex projects into long‑term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Proven success in winning new logo business and securing cyber security business. A strong technical and commercial understanding of cyber security services and experience selling into complex organisations. You'll have confidence presenting technical and commercial solutions to senior & executive stakeholders and experience managing bids, tenders, and proposals, with a strong grasp of pricing strategy and margin control
