Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Head of Future Training Technologies and Innovation to lead the transformation of learning across critical training environments in the UK. You will shape the Learning Technology Strategy, drive digital innovation, and collaborate with senior leaders to enhance learner engagement, training outcomes, and operational efficiency.

The role requires travel across internal and customer sites, with hybrid UK locations and a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in learning technology, digital learning, training systems, or a related field.
• Experience translating training, operational, or customer requirements into technology solutions.
• Experience evaluating technology products, software as a service platform, or digital services and influencing investment decisions.
• Strong understanding of training processes and how technology can improve learning outcomes.
• Proven experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Learning Technology Strategy and technology roadmap aligned to business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend learning technologies, artificial intelligence solutions, and digital training platforms.
• Engage with suppliers, customers, and senior stakeholders to assess requirements and influence investment decisions.
• Lead technology implementation activities including business cases, procurement, testing, adoption, and benefits realisation.
• Monitor emerging technology trends and identifying opportunities to improve learner experience, training outcomes, and business performance.
