The Duke of Cornwall Hotel in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day hotel operations with a strong focus on developing the Food & Beverage offering. You will oversee the restaurant, bar and events, delivering memorable guest experiences while supporting the wider leadership team.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will drive teams, improve commercial performance and help shape the hotel’s next chapter.

Formación

• Proven experience in a senior hotel operations role with a strong background in F&B leadership.
• Experience leading restaurant, bar and events operations within a busy hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills to develop and manage departmental teams.
• Knowledge of wider hotel operations including Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Commercial awareness with budgeting, cost control and revenue growth.
• Calm under pressure with decisive problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills to build cross-department collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the hotel’s daily operation across all departments, ensuring smooth, collaborative delivery.
• Lead and develop department heads, set clear expectations and uphold high standards.
• Direct F&B operations including restaurant, bar and events for service, quality and profitability.
• Be a visible, hands-on leader supporting the team during peak periods.
• Monitor guest feedback and take action to improve guest experience.
• Review financial performance including room and F&B revenue and costs.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness, maintenance and guest safety standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, HR and support functions to meet commercial goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing and food safety requirements.
• Communicate clearly across departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
