Job summary

Sainsbury's in Guildford is seeking a Lead Food Manager to lead a large team of food managers and drive high standards on the shop floor. You will take accountability in the store leadership team, coach colleagues, and ensure compliance, safety and exceptional customer experiences.

Using data and KPIs, you'll translate insights into action, manage complex people matters with fairness and lead change in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Track record of delivering and improving KPIs across sales, stock availability, customer satisfaction and colleague engagement.
• Experience managing sensitive and complex people matters with fairness and sound judgement.
• Leadership experience in an operational environment such as retail, hospitality or food service.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of food managers to run the grocery shop floor.
• Coordinate trading events with the store leadership team for seasonal peaks.
• Take accountability for the store in the absence of the store manager and coach for high standards.
• Ensure compliance with processes and safety while delivering great shopping experiences.
• Manage people matters effectively and support the team through changes.
