Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions in Bristol seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor/Manager to lead and optimize our multi-disciplinary field teams across electrical, gas and heating. Based at our Bristol office, you will drive operational excellence, improve field productivity, and ensure service delivery across planned installations, reactive maintenance and emergency response.

You will monitor safety, compliance with Gas Safe and electrical standards, manage KPIs and budgets, and mentor

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of operational management or supervisory experience within the heating, gas, M&E, or building services sectors.
• Solid practical knowledge of domestic gas heating systems, electrical installations, testing, and modern heating controls.
• Commercial acumen with understanding of KPIs, margins and resource efficiency.
• Proficient with digital dispatch/CRM software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule and optimize daily operations for field engineers and contractors across gas, heating and electrical trades.
• Monitor resources, productivity, and SLAs, ensuring first-time fix rates and project milestones.
• Oversee job management, dispatch and client communications with office teams.
• Drive safety, quality and compliance with Gas Safe, BS 7671 and health & safety rules.
