Our client is a long-established local business with a growing domestic installations department, delivering heating, renewable and associated installation work for homeowners and small private clients. Heat pumps are a core area of focus for the department, alongside their wider heating and renewables work. They are going for controlled growth, and this role is about making sure the department can grow without losing quality, customer service, safety, margin or the practical values that matter in a long-established local business.
They are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of their domestic installation work across heating, heat pumps, renewables and associated services. This is a hands-on SME leadership role for someone who understands field operations, engineer productivity, customer expectations, safe working and commercial control.
You will work closely with the Directors, technical colleagues and administration teams, but will be trusted to bring structure, pace and ownership to operational delivery. This is a role where you will be close to the work, the engineers, the customers and the decisions.
They work to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, so they are looking for someone who understands the importance of safe sites, quality workmanship, environmental responsibility and accurate records.
You will be a good fit if you enjoy working in a practical SME environment where people know each other, decisions can be made quickly, and improvement comes from common sense as well as clear process.
