Job summary

NHS in East Grinstead invites applications for a strategic Head of Facilities and Security Management. You will lead the Facilities and estates teams, drive safe, compliant operations, and ensure strong links with clinical and non-clinical services to protect patients and staff.

You will build robust relationships with senior leadership, manage budgets, and act as authorised signatory for purchases and staff expenses within policy limits.

• Oversees the facilities operational budget (£2.09M) and acts as budget holder with authorization for deviations and staff expenses within policy limits.

Financial / physical resources responsibilities: Responsible for the Facilities operational budget of £2.09M: liaising with Associate Director of Estates and Facilities & Finance Team with justification of any deviation from budgets Budget holder for Facilities department budgets with £10000 authorisation limit. Authorised signatory for purchases within SFI set limits for the Facilities function, and also authorises staff timesheets and expense claims including for bank and agency staff employed within the Facilities services listed above.
